Monday, September 6th, 2010

Getting your website to the top of the search engine results is most probably your priority especially if you have plans on monetizing it. Because we all know that the closer you get to the number one spot in the organic results, there will be more people visiting your website. And the key here is in doing the right seo techniques that can give your site the boost it needs. And if you are new in seo or search engine optimization and you have been reading around the web for tips and tricks, it is to your advantage to know the best and working techniques so you will not be wasting your time on useless methods.

This article shows some of the beginner search engine optimization techniques that anyone who is interested in optimizing their website should first understand. And these have all been tried by internet marketers, like David Jenyns, for years and they vouch on their effectiveness. The important thing is that you first put into actual use these techniques and then focus on just one seo strategy, one that you either formulated yourself or you got from a more successful marketer. You should also try your best to conduct your seo strategies with as little expense as possible. This helps you save money that you can otherwise use on other web-related functions or opportunities.

Do not forget about your tags. These are pretty much old school but they are the basics in website or web page creation and they still help the search spiders determine what your website is all about. The tags concerned here are the title tags, the heading tags, the image alt tags, and the meta tags. The most important of them all is the title tag or the title of your web page. The heading tags refer to the different headings within your page’s content. These help in determining what topic you are dealing with within your web copy. The image alt tags are meant for people who cannot view the images themselves and so they rely on the alt tags to describe what is being shown in that image. It also contributes to your web page seo. And lastly the meta tags which are still debated today if they are still important. Well, maybe its importance in the seo ranking per se is no longer that much, but at least it still helps the spiders tell what your website’s topic is and what keywords you are trying to rank for.

Another important seo technique is link building. Through it alone you can actually make your website rank for a certain keyword even if that keyword is not found anywhere on your web page or website. It is how powerful it is and the search engines’ algorithms are actually based on the world wide web interlinking to what they seem to be of great importance. And that is not going to change soon so it is advisable that you should start devising a strategy on how you can garner a lot of links. But remember to not resort to scam link building techniques. Make it look as natural as you can and do not attempt to get like a thousand links in just one week.

Also, perhaps one of the essential search engine optimization techniques that you should do is to learn seo writing. There are advantages if you do it yourself like you know better about the topic and that you get to save money. But if you are not a good write, hire someone to do the job.

The SEO techniques that you’ll learn have three steps. The steps are social bookmarking, writing articles and hand picking high PR ranking sites.

I learned this from someone who works in SEO services. The first step you want to do is to set up a blog that you can post new content on. Then afterwards you social bookmark the URLs to the different articles you created. Next you’ll want to take the RSS feed and submit that to different directories and aggregators.

After going through this process, the front page of your website should have about 10 to 15 links. Now check one of the keywords you are trying to target in about a week and you should be on page 2 or 1 of the search engines. Now that you have your new blog up and running, just bookmarking through different social bookmarking website isn’t enough over the long term of your site. You won’t rank #1 with your keyword either.

Step two is the getting back links going to your website. The PR value will be low but you should still do the things outlined in step 2. Write articles and submit them to different article directories. The find some blogging networks and get some links going back to your website using the signature function when you sign up. They do have things out there to automate the task.

When your articles show up in the directories, people will be putting them on their own website and linking back to your site. You should have a few hundred links now.

You can put a link in some articles that go back to your website. If I find one that allows me to do this I’ll link one article to my main website and the other in another article I’ll link to my Web 2.0 articles.

In the long run you want at least 50% of the links to go back to your main website. You’ll want to keep up a good routine of writing articles to submit to either the blog or article networks.

Now do some searching and find a piece of software that shows you were all of your keywords rank in the search engines. At this time of the game you should have 200 or so links going back to your site. The PR ranking for these links I’ve always had between 1 and 2.

Now we will move on to step 3. What you will do in this part is to search and find websites with a high PR link value and get them to link back to your blog. In this step you’re going to have to probably pay for your links or offer something in exchange for the link to appear on their website. Don’t sweat it if you have to pay for it for the link coming back is well worth it.

Now you know 3 of my best SEO techniques. Set up good bookmarking rules. Last, when you write an article put a spin on it to keep the reader reading.

It won’t sustain your ranking either.

Step two is the getting back links going to your website. The PR value will be low but you should still do the things outlined in step 2. They do have things out there to automate the task.

When you submit your articles to the article directories, you should be obtaining a few hundred links that will lead back to your website.

They do make software that you can buy that will watch to see where your keywords are ranking in the search engines. Now you should have about a few hundred links that go back to your blog. The PR ranking will be between 1 and 2. I never had PR rankings to go higher than 2.

Now you’re ready for the 3rd part of this process. Go to a directory and find high PR websites that are listed in it. Find the name and contact information to the person who runs the website and ask them if you can have a link going back to your website. Reasons to Settle for a Dedicated Business Web Server

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

Many SEO services will tell you that you don’t need to pay for a dedicated web server to make money online. There are many shared hosting services that are more affordable and that can host several different sites. If your online business is growing though, there are a few good advantages that you can get from cutting lose from the groups that your sites are part of.

There are two reasons why separating from a group of sites in a host makes sense, longer up times and faster page loads. Websites in shared servers may often experience a lot of down times and slow loading because of the huge amount of traffic that each of the sites in a group get. If you only have your traffic rate to worry about in a dedicated server, you will most likely be able to ensure better site performance.

To entrepreneurs, dedicated web servers are worth investing on. This is because you are likely to lose cash and returning visitors when your pages are always down. Because your internet materials aren’t around for viewing, visitors are likely to leave and look for options offered by your competitors.

Shared hosting can affect traffic in more ways than one. Aside from turning off real visitors, poor up time can also have an impact on search engine robot activity. If your virtual property isn’t around when robots visit, it might not get indexed or ranked. Without a high rank, you can’t expect to obtain traffic from search engine results pages.

A dedicated server host doesn’t just help improve traffic. It can also improve the way you organize and manage each of your sites. With your sites in one server, your SEO expert can make sure that they all maintain uniform applications and technical details. You can also choose only the specific tools that you would want to use for your sites. This is what’s missing from shared hosting accounts.

From the viewpoint of security, having the power to make choices is also important. Shared hosting offers little protection from shady activities or bad scripts that other site owners may use. Because you are under a shared host, your site may get flagged by search engines and security tools for activities performed by others.

Dedicated servers are additionally attractive because they are likely to come with timely and efficient customer service. Clients that go for this option are often given more attention by hosting providers because they pay more for the services.

The only major disadvantage to having your own server is the cost of maintenance. You can’t get your own if you don’t pay a steep price. The cost can even increase more once traffic starts to build up. The cost involved is the reason why only huge business entities pay for separate servers. You can monitor your business using tracking tools to determine if there is any considerable, steady growth. In case there is, you might want to consider paying for your own server.

Dedicated web servers are invaluable aides to online businesses. As soon as your venture shows signs of good health and growth, consider making the leap to a host that can give you more stable room both for your business and SEO techniques to expand in.

What Natural SEO Can Do For You

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

It may not have occurred to you that there is such a thing as natural SEO. Webmasters use natural seo services because they are mainly interested in ranking websites high while staying in the good graces of search engines. If you are thinking along the same lines, this concept can work for you.

The best way to understand the idea is to get a grasp of what optimization means first. When you first put up a website, your obvious goal is to get as many people as possible to visit your site. This can only be made possible if your site gets indexed and gets ranked high.

The site assessment of robots that perform the work of creating indexes and ranking sites depend a lot on the number of good back links. If robots discover a lot of good external links that show the way to your site, it is likely that they will index and rank your site sooner. Because professional SEO services know the value of links, they spend a lot of time building them for their clients.

A simple plan for optimization can thus involve aggressive link building campaigns. There are various methods to achieve this. Whoever is in charge of helping you optimize your pages can make submissions to directories, write articles for directories, post comments on other sites and interact in forums. These are all good ways to get links on great sites. What you need to think about is how hard you choose to pursue your linking campaigns.

There is something wholly unnatural about having external links that point to your site pop up in the hundreds overnight. This becomes even more unnatural if all the links carry the same anchor text. Although it is impossible to arrive at the exact algorithm that search engines use, you don’t want to appear as if you are trying to game the system. This is why natural SEO methods are crucial.

The best approach to search engine optimization from an seo expert point of view is one that replicates nature. Even if you have great value on your website to offer, you don’t want to be viewed as someone who is trying to beat the system that gets websites indexed and ranked. This is simply because you could suffer some serious consequences. You could end up not getting indexed or ranked at all.

The theory that holds up genuine optimization is uncomplicated. What you need to do is to insert links with different anchor texts into quality sites at a gradual pace. If you are creating links in articles meant for article directories, you need to further ensure that the content around these links offer valuable inputs for readers. This will result in links that do not seem as if they were automatically generated.

Natural SEO is not a very difficult concept to understand. What it simply means is that you have to tone down your eagerness when it comes to building links. Always keep in mind that the best kind of optimization takes time and quality effort.

Be Online Anytime With Dedicated Web Servers

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

Not every income generating site sits on a dedicated web server. There are numerous high earning sites that are on affordable shared servers. Reputable SEO services however will tell you that there are some very good reasons why big businesses go for individual servers. If you notice considerable growth in your business, you might want to take this option too.

For a lot of site owners, the main advantages of solo servers are in better up time rates and quicker page loading. You just can’t expect a lot from shared servers. This is because a lot of other sites can be experiencing traffic surges. When traffic spikes are taken together, each of the sites under a host can suffer down times and lag times. Dedicated servers prevent your site from disappearing without notice.

Serious online entrepreneurs know how important dedicated web servers are. If you don’t have one, your profit potential can drop. Visitors who could have become clients will start leaving your site without taking action because your site pages are always nowhere to be found. The worst part is that they can jump over to the competition.

The impact of sharing servers goes well beyond the obvious. It is believed that aside from pushing away real clients, poor site performance can also keep search engine robots away. Robots that don’t find your pages when they drop by will leave without indexing or ranking your site. If it doesn’t get indexed, it loses out on search engine traffic.

A dedicated server host can help your business beyond boosting traffic. It can also keep the online management of your network of sites organized and customized. Your SEO expert can choose only specific and uniform hardware, software, applications and technical tools for all your sites. This is something you just cannot get from shared hosting providers that make every feature available to all.

From the viewpoint of security, having the power to make choices is also important. Shared hosting offers little protection from shady activities or bad scripts that other site owners may use. Because you are under a shared host, your site may get flagged by search engines and security tools for activities performed by others.

You might also find dedicated web servers advantageous because of the kind of customer service that providers give. When a client is on a dedicated server, timely and accurate service should be expected because of the cost that a client shoulders.

The one major downside to getting your own spot is the expense. This is definitely not a cheap option which is why it is often only taken by big businesses. You might only want to consider separating from all the other sites in a host if there are signs of good, steady business growth. Aside from the increase in income, you can measure how well your business is doing by using tracking tools. A bounce rate that inexplicably grows may be a sign that visitors and robots are leaving your pages because of down times and slow loading.

Dedicated web servers have real benefits to online businesses with good SEO techniques. This is why you should explore this option if you know that your business has the potential to expand exponentially.
